Why?
The long-form prose novel is only a thousand years old. Compared to the span of human history, literature is still a fledgling art form. In the interest of protecting and promoting the vulnerable literary ecosystem, Save the Novel aspires to collect and broadcast one thousand personal essays that make the case for why we read (and why we should read more).
